Haris Bajwa serves as Of Counsel to NOVA Business Law Group, focusing on U.S. and international trademark law. He regularly manages trademark filings, brand strategy, and enforcement matters, including navigating disputes with other companies before the USPTO and through negotiated resolutions. Haris helps clients protect and strengthen their brands in competitive and fast-moving markets.
In addition to his trademark practice, Haris has over seventeen years of experience in U.S. and international intellectual property law, advising on patents, portfolio strategy, licensing, and IP structuring for venture capital diligence and acquisitions. His work spans technology-driven sectors including AI, MedTech, SaaS, blockchain, and diagnostics, with a focus on protecting innovation and aligning IP strategy with business objectives. He has worked closely with Y Combinator–backed startups and with academics affiliated with Harvard, Stanford, and the University of Michigan, guiding founders, faculty, and researchers through tech transfer, inventorship, and commercialization. Haris’ prior experience also includes representing foundational technology companies such as Broadcom, Google, and TSMC on complex IP matters.
He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (magna cum laude) from North Carolina State University.
